Within the United States of America there are exactly 50 of the top 100 golf courses in the world (golf.com 2009)
not surprising when you consider that there are over 17,000 golf courses in the United States of America. Of those
50, 39 are private golf courses and therefore can’t be used in any tour. The remaining 11 are spread all over the
country.
Various publications of which the 2 most prominent are Golf.com and Golf Digest publish a list of the top
100 USA golf courses you can play or as they call them public courses. To be in the top 100 of a group of 17,000
is quite an honour and insures a quality of courses that is unequalled by any other tour.
Golf Digest also has a star
rating system, there are 17 courses rated as 5 star courses in the USA and 1 of them is in Myrtle Beach it is the
TPC Myrtle Beach.
Myrtle Beach known as the golfing capital of the world with over 110 golf courses to choose from. Golf Digest
recently named 10 South Carolina golf courses to the top 100 public golf courses.

Weather
In regards to the weather it is interesting to note that the November weather in Myrtle Beach in November averages
69F which is 5 degrees warmer than the average of the 4 warmest months in Scotland (June-Sept). The average temperature
in Myrtle Beach in November is 69F which is more than 10 degrees warmer than London, Glasgow or Dublin. November is
the month with the lowest precipitations in the year.

Detailed Itinerary
(Please note that the days can be switched due to starting times availability for optimal planning.)
Saturday:
Meet & Greet at Myrtle Beach Airport (MYR). Pick up your Top 100 Van at airport and drive to your hotel for check-in.
Maybe relax after long trip at Indoor Waterpark within hotel where they have several Jacuzzis, or go shopping for
supplies, food etc…
Sunday:
Play Heritage golf course and return to hotel or play a replay if you wish replays as on most courses are available
for less than 40USD’s.
Monday:
Today you will play Tidewater. This course is one of the more visually appealing courses on the Strand. Maybe after
your round of golf, a bit of shopping at one of the golf superstore.
Tuesday:
This is the day when you will play Caledonia the top rated course on this tour # 25 top public course in USA. This
course is not long but will require all your wits for you to score.
Wednesday:
Dunes Golf & Beach club. Almost always rated by locals as top Myrtle Beach course. After you have played it you
will know why.
Thursday:
Play Fazio Course at Barefoot. What is there to say, he is one of top 10 course designers.
Friday:
Play Myrtle Beach TPC and finish your week as a pro.
Saturday:
Meet for departures as per individual schedules.
