Top 100 Golf Tours

Highland & Southwest Castle Tour

Golfers go to Scotland and play St. Andrews, Carnoustie, Muirfield etc, they are all nice courses, one could say exceptional, but the terrain on which they are built is all the same, and is definitely not reflective of the diversity of terrain that exist in Scotland.

Scotland has some World Top 100 golf courses that are in remote areas and deserve to be seen and played such as Royal Dornoch that is rated 16th in the World’s Top 100 Golf Courses and Machrihanish that is rated 92nd. Tour operators do not usually include these because they are too difficult to get to and not worth the effort for them.

In this landscape there are also some 5 star and family owned castles that will bring your golfing holiday to a new level and leave you with souvenirs of an exceptional holiday.

This tour wishes to give you the opportunity to visit the different landscapes of Scotland and play some amazing golf courses while being royally treated by your hosts in the various castles where you will be staying.

On this tour we play the following courses:

  • # 16 Royal Dornoch
  • # xx Castle Stuart (Best new world course 2009)
  • # 48 Royal Troon
  • # 92 Machrihanish golf club
  • Opt 1 Prestwick (Birthplace of the Open Championuship)
  • Opt 2 Machrihanish Dunes (First new course on west coast in 100 years)
  • # 17 Turnberry

You can read more about each course under the menu Golf Courses Scotland. Some of the courses also has video presentations that you can view.
